Yellow Star

1. When I was my Mom's made of Honor for her wedding: This made me feel incredibly special. I don't think many people can say they were in their moms wedding let alone their mothers made of honor. Really showed how much my mom loves me.
2. My first varsity game: It was my first game of my freshman year and I was playing varsity. Talk about scary and exciting all at the same time. It was definitely the high light of my freshman year.
3. Getting my license: I could not wait to get my license, that meant I had so much more freedom and I was so ready for that. I loved getting into my truck for the first time by myself and driving away.
4. When my little sister was born: It was the first day of school of my eighth grade year and I now  had a little sister and I couldn't have been more excited. Even though I wasn't the baby anymore, I was glad I could be a role model to my baby sister.
5. Winning Districts this year: After a somewhat rough season, we pulled together winning districts. We were also switched to a new district, we had a really good chance at taking home the championship. Then again there is always a slight chance that we wouldn't. Knowing we worked hard all season to get to that point made everything so much more worth it. We gave it everything we had.
6. Graduating 8th grade: Graduating 8th grade is very cliché but still, I was in high school now. Even though it meant more responsibility I was so over middle school and ready to move on and be in high school.
7. Getting my first vehicle: Knowing that I could now drive was the best feeling ever. But having a vehicle of my own was even better. I didn't get a brand new vehicle but I did get a really nice 99 dodge. That any 16 year old would kill to have! Thank you daddy!
8. Buying my first saddle: I was 13 and I wanted to buy one of my own My parents had always provided very nice saddles for me to use but I wanted one of my own. I worked all summer long and finally had $350. It made me feel so good and accomplished to have bought something with that kind of money.
9. When my brother graduated high school: This meant I had the hole house to myself because he was moving out! I then had no one to watch over me at school and tattle to my mom and dad if I  liked a boy he found out about.
10. This years graduation: I will miss this senior class more than anything but it showed me not to be so dependent on other people. They all showed me that I can be anything I want to be. I've learned so much from all of them, but its a sign that I'm growing up and so are they.
